First of all I would like to thank all of the boys for their attitude during the summer, for the tournament and training. After 2 very good tournaments, Gavin and myself were looking forward to the matches starting again as were the boys.

 

Fry Club Colts v Longwell Green 03/09/06

 

Matched played at Castle County Primary School.

 

‘A’ Team – We lined up with the following players, Brandon in goal, Ryan (Rhino) & Lewis (Chopper) in defence, Owen, Jacob & Harry C in midfield, Lewis up front. The subs were George & Eli. We started the game and after some good play we started making chances but couldn’t put them away but finally after good play from our midfielder, Lewis (The Duke) put us 1-0 with a great finish. The boy’s all played their hearts out but Longwell Green managed to get an equaliser with the game finishing 1-1.

 

Man of the match was Lewis Holt (Chopper) who was outstanding in defence.

 

‘B’ Team - We lined up with the following players, Oliver in goal for first half and Ellis for second half, Josh & Dan (Rooney) in defence, Dan B, Dan P & Matthew in midfield with Dan W (Bird Man) up front, the subs were Rhys, Lewis & Ellis. In this game Longwell Green put their ‘A’ team midfielder in against them, every one of our boys doing an outstanding job. We played some nice two touching passes through midfield to our striker but we couldn’t score, unfortunately Longwell Green scored 8 times but every boy kept going until the end of the game. 

 

Man of the match was Rhys Greenland who played Midfield and tackled everything that moved.
